The hole allows the player to bite off as much as they feel appropriate, but too far left or at the green doesn’t really offer much of an advantage in regards to extra yardage or sightline on the approach. With a forced carry off the tee and usual a breeze to contend with players should play more conservative to right in most cases. The second shot is not only blind but plays uphill and the primary mistake from the player is hitting into the waste bunker which is death. As if the forced carry and blind uphill approach aren’t enough the green depending on the pin placement can be severe. The back right portion of the green has a severe drop off and ridge that dramatically affects the speed and direction of most putts no matter where you’re located.
